It does seem to me that BBB is not what it used to be. One of the reasons that it was one of my favorite blogs for a long time was the collaborative discussion of translation puzzles (which I voted for above). Then for a while it was all about gender, which thankfully got spun off into the Complegalitarian blog. Now, though, it seems to focus mostly on Bible translation news. There are still some good posts on the difficulties of translation/interpretation, and I'm certainly still reading, but I would agree with Eddie that quality has dropped off a bit. I say this because I would like to see a new refocusing in that direction. There is a lot of knowledge/talent on this blog, and when it is focused in the right direction it's great!

(Obviously, though, no one is under any obligation to focus in the direction I think is 'right'. Just my two cents.)
